  • Don’t advertise inside my journal. It’s tacky.

    By Viiv
If there is one time in my day when I feel I should be free from incessant advertising, it’s when I’m writing down my innermost thoughts. I have already paid you money. The fact that you advertise to me, while I am writing journal entries, is seriously lacking in taste.
  • Excellent

    By mn7441
The free app is excellent, my only concerns is if there are a limit of entry journals or if the entries on the free app are unlimited.
  • App crashing on photo import

    By Cancerloco
I’ve love this app for a while. Today, I wanted to make an entry and import photos. However, when I try to select one or more photos the app crashes. It has happened repeatedly today but never before. I upgraded to IOS11.4 last week and I’ve not tried the app in a while prior to the update. Please address this issue at your earliest convenience. Thank you. PS. How do I provide the crash logs?
  • Simply Perfect

    By J4 Six
I can’t imagine how this app can be improved. It’s as perfect an app as can be. Does everything so well.
  • Is there a manual?

    By ta'ne
I love t his journal — I am a fine a arts photographer (MFA) and absolutely love being able to throw images into the text! However, I’m still having a lot of trouble controlling what I’m going to do.. Thanks for a great app!
  • Meh. No Apple Pencil support

    By Frankly-Speaking
Without Apple Pencil support its pretty useless. If you want to journal by hand you must first write in another app like apples notepad and then make it into a pdf and then upload to DayOne. They made this a subscription based app, which I can understand since they need an income based model to continue development, but it just doesn't meet most peoples needs with Apple Pencil support.
  • Needs DARK Theme

    By bkeypr
It’s a great app, but it really needs a dark theme so I don’t have to light up the room every time I want to use it. So, five stars if it had a dark theme.
  • Great app since the beginning

    By Hank Brekke
I’ve been using digital journals since 2009 and have had to move between numerous products because of companies shutting down, and Day One v1 was the first paid product I used to store entries. After hesitation to the subscription model, I gave in and upgraded to v2, and I still love the software. I journal every day, so Day One gets more use than almost any other app.....a more justifiable expense, so that this app always works with new iOS versions and features. My only request is a feature of an older journal app, which had a fun nightly Reflection email with entries from a random day in the past. With Day One, it’s not quite as fun or prominent to reflect on old entries just for nostalgia sake.
  • I do not want to pay for sync

    By Crkline2
In the previous version of Day One, I could sync to Dropbox or iCloud. This allowed me to sync between my iPhone and iPad. Now I can only sync by paying for Day One to sync my data. iCloud worked for me. I understand that it did not work for others. But instead of taking away a choice for sync, add another. So leave Dropbox and iCloud as options, and add Day One sync. Thankfully, I did not delete my old version of Day One. I will go back to that prior version, after I delete the current, but not better version.
  • So easy!

    By Fredkayaker
Great app that makes journaling so much easier and convenient. I’m finding myself writing more just because it’s so easy to do. I’m looking forward to printing the journal out when I’m finished with this trip.
