Why spend hundreds of dollars on an extra device while your phone can do the same and more? Find, Create, Import and Navigate great Roads and track your Touring Adventures. Although Scenic is designed for the motorcycle it's used by many old-timer and convertible drivers as well. It's basically for anyone with a motorised vehicle who enjoys a day (or longer) of touring. ROUTE PLANNING Scenic offers many many options to plan your tours: (1) Select a location and be navigate there along curvy roads. (2) Create a route yourself by dropping up to 200 via points with fast, short or curvy roads to get from one point to the next. (3) Import routes through many ways and many sources. For example: Scenic integrates with the Furkot, RouteYou and online routeplanners and the Scenic WebApp makes it easy to import GPS files (GPX, KML, KMZ, GDB, ITN) and Google (My) Maps URLs. Simply drag and drop GPS files and copy/paste Google Maps URL's in the WebApp and the route will be waiting for you in Scenic on your phone. (4) As the only app of it's kind Scenic can make nearly every imported route navigable, even if it has thousands of points. (5) If you don't feel like creating or importing your own routes, you can choose from the many thousands of routes shared, rated and reviewed by fellow Scenic users. NAVIGATION Of course Scenic wouldn't be a good alternative to Motorcycle GPS units if it didn't offer navigation. The navigation screen has been especially designed for use on the motorcycle, with large fonts, a clear route line and a screen layout that enables you to see next turns in a quick glance. And of course Scenic also gives voice instructions (in 21 languages). Next to that Scenic has special features to guide you to the start point of a route and skip via points if you take a (deliberate or accidental) detour. TRACKING Scenic's tracking feature allows you to save your touring adventures for ever. With every ride you take, wether you're navigating a route or not, your ride is tracked. Scenic records your speed, the roads you took and the pictures taken along the way. Every trip you ever took can be shared on social media, exported to GPX files and even turned into a navigable route so you can ride it again. * Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. * Scenic has an optional Premium Subscription that gives you access to Premium Features (Voice Guidance, Route Import & Route & Trip export). The subscription automatically renews every year. The first payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of the purchase. It automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged again within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by you and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings in the iTunes Store, also reachable through 'Manage Subscriptions' from the Scenic Settings menu.Current price for premium subscription is $10.99 USD per year, and may vary from country to country. • Scenic trip

Just stated using and getting use to the app. Love the stats during a trip, maybe have more detailed stat sheet on saved trips? Will there ever be weather watch availability?
  • Nice app but clunky interface (no iPhone X support)

    By antiautomation
I liked this app but the clunky UI keeps me from loving it. Now that I've had an iPhone X for over a year I'm a little annoyed the developer hasn't updated to support that. I was a paid subscriber but let it lapse after lack of feature updates.

App seems to really work well. Still putting it thru it’s paces.
  • Best mapping for motorcycle travel

Hands down, there isn’t a better mapping and routing solution available. You can try it for free so what are you waiting for?
  • Downloaded maps!

This app has where you can download states so you don’t have to depend on WiFi or data! Awesome!
  • Great app

Love the design and map functions. It is not handling pausing the trip very well - seems to forget about the destination. Maybe I am missing something. And it is not syncing with my contacts and cannot search for business names or landmarks so I have to type physical address when searching for my destination. Otherwise I need to enter into favorites to have them show up under search, but that is cumbersome. Overall, absolutely recommend.
  • Integrates well with other apps

Great app for riders. Best support of any app I’ve used. Definitely recommend.
  • It’s crap.....

Terrible app. Navigation is a damned nightmare. Keep maps in your saddle bag.
  • Intelligent Navigation

The developer of SMT seems to have all his (or her) ducks in order. Not only is the app well-thought and well-built, the explanation for its need to use in-app purchases strikes a balanced cord that lets the user feel good about supporting the app’s continued evolution. I won’t go into detail about its functions because I don’t have enough real experience using it on the road, but the simplicity of route planning (building your route step by step from start to finish using the Via button) stands out as a well-executed feature that speaks volumes for the rest of this app. I’m looking forward to the next biking season (I live in New England!) and plan to move up to a premium version if I like what I see, as I think I will.
