Description

Find the perfect mix of background noise to help you relax, study, work or sleep. A Soft Murmur is the ideal productivity app to help you wash away distractions. Download once, listen whenever and wherever you like. All sounds are stored locally on your device. A Soft Murmur plays seamless and uninterrupted audio so it never interrupts your focus. Mix together 10 ambient sounds: • Rainfall • Thunder • Waves • Gusting wind • Crackling fireplace* • Birdsong* • Crickets* • Coffee shop* • Singing bowl* • White noise* * These six sounds can be unlocked with a single, one-off in-app purchase When Meander is active, the volume of each active sound increases and decreases at random, creating rolling waves of sound that are never the same twice. Set sound to fade gently into silence to help you drift into sleep, or set a timer to start or stop playing after a custom length of time. Use timers to transform A Soft Murmur into a versatile productivity app. Save your favorite mixes and give them names. Switch easily between mixes or share them with your friends.

Love using this whether I’m trying to sleep or working on homework

Love this app so much I bought the whole package, I only wish I could set the “start playing in...” timer and be able to be on other apps before I fall asleep. If there was an alarm clock setting everyone would delete their usual alarm apps for this one.
  • I could sleep before I had this app

Yesterday in the middle of the night and I got so bored and was mentally exhausted. I decided to google bored button, a website I go to when I’m bored, then I came across this and instinctively felt relaxed so I went to the App Store and download the app after that I fell straight asleep. And I love how I can make my own relaxing sounds from a peaceful day at the coffee shop to a great storm. The buy is definitely worth it. 🤗

While there isn’t a lot of different sounds to pick from with the free app, it’s still great! Being able to pick from 4 ( almost the exact same sounds) is still a nice option instead of just having one. There is also a spot to where you can save your “mixes”. But my favorite part is setting a timer! And not just a 5 minute timer, a 2 hour timer so I can fall asleep to it! Or even an 18 hour timer so I can just keep it going for a whole spay day!

This app is great for falling asleep to! The one change I would make is let us choose which sounds are meandering instead of just all or none.

I connect my phone to my Bluetooth speaker every night and start this app up to help me sleep. I love that you can mix sounds, making thunder louder, fire crackling sounds, etc. But some of those sounds are only with the paid version. The free version still does the trick though!
  • I love this app but mad that I have to pay money for something that was originally free

I discovered this asoftmurmur from Imgur years ago and fell in love with it since. When the developers announced that they were making an app for the Apple Store, I signed up for the email announcement when the app is released. I am extremely sad that after waiting all this time, that they locked their other sounds! The sounds were originally free on their site!
  • Same quality as the website!

I'm glad the website finally has an app. It makes it that much more convenient for studying. The app version sounds just as good as the website. Although though some sounds are locked in the free version, I am still very happy with it- they were sounds I rarely used anyway. All in all I'm happy
  • Seriously love this app!
