This takes advantage of technology in the most wonderful way!! There are a lot of apps out there that are a waste of time, but this thoughtfully and carefully crafted app is pure genius, and absolutely affordable!! Love it!
  • Great fun app

This app has helped me a lot! I never thought I would be able to learn how to play guitar but this app and the whole Fender Play community is amazing! I am further along than I had anticipated in just 2 weeks. I just wish it worked on Apple TV and that the tabs would scroll along with your lesson for ease of playing and learning

I poked around the app and I’m not very impressed by it. Maybe if I had started with this app, I would have gotten into it more deeply. I think that it needs to focus on more fundamentals before teaching little riffs and simple songs. I started with Justin Guitar, which isn’t quite as pretty as this app, but he delays your gratification just enough to give you a better foundation.
  • A shame

It’s lessons are very good. The pace is slow and repetitive which is perfect for a beginner. But they ruined a great program by only leaving room for a few bars of sheet music on a page. So after playing a line you have to stop playing and scroll up to the next line. This interruption is frustrating because you can’t play along uninterrupted with the teacher (as you are instructed). If not for the clunky music interface, it would be an excellent teaching tool.

  • Not free

I found this because it was marketed as free but it starts at $8+ a month
  • So glad I tried this app.

I have been wanting to learn to play the electric guitar. Blues to be specific and this app has been the most helpful. It gives me practice help in a structured path. I was learning a lot by the end of the week. I’m still improving and I always come here to take my play to the next level.
  • I’ll pass

I get the developers need money but make some sort of free Version. My son wants to know how to play and this app is just useless. Do not buy if you don’t have money
