  • Search is horrible and useless

    By DisapointedInTheDiceRoll
I purchased this to look up things but the search is just awful. Many other reviews mention the same thing. Developers, you should take a hint, a book should never get a 3 out of 5 review. Books are great. Just useless search.
  • It’s ok, but not helpful for beginners

    By ff kdkd
Most of my friends want me to play D&D with them, so naturally I needed to learn more about it. This app was really helpful until I realized it wants you to make an account then purchase books about certain characters. This is really stupid and inconvenient, and made the app not worth it to me. Honestly I just went to the website to get all the info for free.
  • Still buggy and no character sheet

Every week, DnD Beyond puts out a Dev Update about the character sheet being added, and every week it’s a nothing-burger. 2 Stars until they add that and fix the non magic armor bug (still not showing any info after this update).
  • More crashes than a Trash Panda Race.

    By JohnnyZomB
Would love if I could download any of the books available to me. Installed the first 2. Then constant crash if I try and download anything else. Would love to be able to rate it higher, but if it’s unusable and this badly bugged after being out. Well.
  • A great digital alternative, but...

    By welcometoUrf
Although it’s handy to use and a highly polished app, the lack of access to all the content featured on the website (personal character sheets, homebrew item creation, articles / forums) really hinders it from being what it should be— especially with so many free alternatives readily available. — A DM
  • Load Time

    By Please Load up
Good app... when you can actually get into it. Takes an extremely long time if it does get into the app at all, to load up. You have a faster chance of just googling your answers, afraid to buy anything on here with the load time or if it loads up at all.
  • No character builder

    By TexasSailorKS
I cannot see ever paying full price for books I own, just to read in an app that I can’t even use to build my characters.
  • Spell listings are incorrect

    By Croggon72
So far as I can tell, not a single spell that has Concentration as part of its duration in the PHB is listed with Concentration in the app. This is a pretty significant oversight, and calls into question the accuracy of the app’s entire body of work. Please correct this as soon as possible!
  • Characters

    By MoriorOmnisDies
How can the critical role people access their characters for like 2 years now but it’s still not a feature for anyone else with the app? COME ON!!!!
  • Characters?

    By Kial Narsones
I love DnDBeyond but this app doesn’t get me to my characters which means I still have to just use the website...
