Florence is an interactive storybook from the award-winning lead designer of Monument Valley about the heart-racing highs and heartbreaking lows of a young woman's very first love. Florence Yeoh feels a little... stuck. Her life is an endless routine of work, sleep, and spending too much time on social media. Then one day, she meets a cello player named Krish who changes everything about how she sees the world and herself. Experience every beat of Florence and Krish's relationship through a series of mini-game vignettes - from flirting to fighting, from helping each other grow... to growing apart. Drawing inspiration from 'slice of life' graphic novels and webcomics, Florence is an intimate and unforgettable story.

  • Much better than expected

I thought it was just going to be okay but it was amazing!
  • Beautiful gameplay, but shallow

This was a beautiful game, every detail is flawless and full of expression. As a piece of art, the game expresses a new way of storytelling that I am very much delighted by. Conversations are turned into puzzles, dreams into canvases, and routine everyday life into rote mechanics. What I wish for, and hope to see in their next game, is more character development. Playing the game, while the mechanics and art are enthralling, you can't help but feel that you don't actually know the characters at all. You're just watching something play out from an incredibly distant vantage point, occassionally acting as them but rarely understanding. I imagine most of this comes from no real dialogue in the game, which is a great design decision but I don't think needs to necessarily come at the expense of character development like it seems to here.
  • Worth $2.99... no...

I regret paying for this. Yes if you are talking about the design then it was really good, but the story was so short and the little interactive elements of it were simplistic yet annoying. I left wanting more of a story, longer of a story, and more interactive and interesting stuff to do. Putting puzzle pieces together to create a text bubble with no words in it, is not exciting nor interesting. The design is beautiful but that’s just not enough of a reason to pay for it, in my opinion.
  • Amazing storytelling!

A game without words but deep with the feels. I never have experienced storytelling in this medium before and it is unbelievably moving, creative, and profound.
  • Refreshing

A great slice of life story that you play. Nice for those times when you want to kickback and relax. Music is outstanding.
  • No sounds/music?

    By Sand(wo)man
One reason I got this is because the review talked about how amazing the music was. I have both sound & music turned on in the settings but no audio, whatsoever... I feel like I’m really missing something important. EDIT- I rebooted my phone & plugged in a headset, after which I could hear all the sounds. Beautiful game, thank you!!!

I originally played this game at Pax West 2018. The game is very well made with a gorgeous feel and appearance. I highly recommend you play this game and see the life of Florence.
  • A lovely surprise.

This game unexpectedly turned into a great way for me to spend time with my 4.5 year old daughter. She loves to revisit the chapters and consults me for the more challenging puzzles. She is taken in by the story and expresses an emotional interest in the behavior of the characters. The linear narrative and content are appropriate for her and provide us many opportunities to talk about friendships and fractures. Thank you for such a nice surprise.
  • Amazing

A really fun little story told through images and music. Which is a nice touch considering the woman is an artist and the dude is a musician.
