  • Good app gone glitchy

I have used this app for more than a year and loved it, but unfortunately it has lost its appeal. I’ve recently reported issues I have been having with the app 3 different times. But have not reported when I’ve had issues 5 times that. I have had to disconnect it from my AppleWatch to run independently because it wasn’t working, it would start on its own or pop up on the watch but you couldn’t start it from the watch. Running the app from my phone became an issue it would Pause mid run and I wouldn’t realize it and then have to stop running to get it to un-pause. Sometimes I would have to force close the app and restart a workout. The GPS pace tracking seems to be super unreliable for example it will clock me running a 9:30 mile then jump to 16:00 mile. Today the Pause and Stop button completely disappeared so there was no way to pause or even stop the workout without force closing and restarting. I started having just about every single one of these issues after I paid for a year membership (which I have canceled) but am paid up until next September. The disappointing thing is all of my activities are already here and I have to start over with a new app.
  • Route/Distance tracking is now terrible and glitchy

Used to be fine and work as you’d expect. Now app frequently does a terrible job at accurately tracking route; adding points way off course. This results in artificially inflated distances (up to 50%!) and incorrect computed running speeds. This happens on well traveled routes with good service and minimal obstructions, I’ve used this app for years without this issue. Sadly have to switch, bug has not been addressed or fixed after multiple updates.

Time after time this app has malfunctioned during a run. I’ve provided feedback and there has been no resolve. Don’t waste the storage space on your phone for this one.

This is one of the top apps on my phone. For the last 2 months I’ve been getting back in the swing of things and this tool has helped me get from the couch to the trail. I can measure my progress from day to day, week to week, etc. I haven’t really experimented with the networking portion but, so far, this has been a fantastic tool for me.
  • New Crazy Problems Sine Updating to iOS 12

The ads freeze a bunch, the close button won’t work and they’re very intrusive. Also, sine iOS 12 my planned routes drop anytime I the screen times out or if I switch to another app for even a second. I write these long routes to ride along side a runner friend that we follow during the workout, but anytime I have answer a call, check on something or even when the screen locks, I come back to MapMyRun ap and the route is GONE! Freaking crazy please fix this!
  • Update Resulted in Poor Performance

I recently updated my Apple Watch and iPhone iOS and since then it has caused nothing but issues. App doesn’t sync with Watch, heart rate will not function, and workouts don’t save. Very disappointing considering I am a paying MVP customer. Worst of all, the support function where you can report a problem does not work! I will be requesting my money back and switching to a new app.

I’ve been using this app for a couple years and lately the GPS isn’t working. It works only as a timer.

Been using for years! Suddenly stopped working so tried logging out and logging in but now I can’t get back in! Says it doesn’t recognize me but also won’t let me register with my email since it’s already linked to an account!

  • Suddenly not accurate?

I have been using the app for YEARS, I have a regular 5 mile route and the last time I ran it the app said I ran 5 and 1/2 miles, there is no way I ran an extra 1/2 mile, I have run this route dozens of times and it was never this off. Today when I ran the mileage looks correct but the final stats for times don’t add up with the updates I was receiving on the run. It looks like my pace is much slower than usual. Hoping for an update soon!
