  • Deleting this app after bad Customer Service

I joined the Pro version to finish Erin’s “My First 5K”. After what seems like a glitch with Workout 12 (no audio), I proceeded to contact the company. It’s been almost 2 days and I have not heard anything back. I am disappointed because I’ve been happy up until this point and now, I’m seeking running training elsewhere.
  • Great App! Live Tracking not functioning

Great App. Boston native so sort of biased in my love for the app. But how do I fix Live Tracking? As a night runner it’s a key feature for me. When sending the tracking text I get a notification that reads “Couldn’t connect, please try again” It’s a great feature offered by Strava, and would love to see it working on RunKeeper.
  • Terrible training plans!

One of the features of the paid subscription that I loved was the many available training plans for different race distances and runner levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced). That no longer exist and you have to use the customized training plans which are terrible!! None of them build up slowly to the final race distance. It jumps from 4.5 to 6.5 to 8.5 to 10.5 for the long runs. Nothing in between! Using these plans are just asking for injuries! It also is giving speeds way below what you should be running at. I can walk faster than the speeds it is telling me to run. This feature needs some major work!!! Please bring back the old plans. They were awesome and I have used them for years to run 5K, 10K, and half marathons.
  • You keep changing a good thing!

I used to see how many activities my friends were doing per month, now that is gone. Many other looks have changed. Why can’t you leave a good thing alone? There are other run tracking apps out there. I have enjoyed run keeper but I think I will see if the grass is greener elsewhere.
  • How can it be a running app: plans with 17m miles??

If you are a brand new runner you might like this but if you are ready to be even a little challenged you will be disappointed.
  • Disappointed

This app does not seem to consistently communicate between the iPhone and Apple Watch. None of the stats from my runs displays at the end of the run although it was tracking things as I ran.

    Love my runkeeper app!
  • Runkeeper Support confirmed the Leaderboard feature was retired

My friends and I use the Leaderboard feature each month to foster healthy competition and drive our motivation for working out. The Runkeeper support team informed me that they have retired this feature in their latest version of the app. The "workouts per week" feature is worth keeping the app but if my friends decide on a different app that provides a social feature like a leaderboard then I will likely switch fitness tracking apps at that time.

This app made me love running, and got me to stick to a plan for the first time ever. It's that good.
