Can you believe that the last update was made on 2014? It definitly needs support for continuous scolling and shorter response time.
  • Needs to be 64 bit for Apple

This app is very good, but it needs to be updated to 64 bit as Apple will soon quit allowing 32 bit apps.
  • Work required improving basic functions

Ok for casual reading, but terrible for interactive reading using highlights and notes
  • Agree the worst app ever for ebooks

Whether you access this app on computer, Ipad Pro or phone OR kindle it's so slow I usually just give up. I've tried turning off wifi but why should I have to and still grrrrrr. Amazon can do so much better than this. THen there's the clunky book manager and a search function that doesn't find books that are in my library. If I hadn't purchase a a couple thousand books, I'd permanently give up.
  • No collection syncing, barely has basic functionality

This app gets the basic job done of being able to read your books on your Mac. However it's buggy, clicking anywhere in a book cause definitions to popup, and most of all its collections don't sync with your other devices. How is that not available in 2018? Most Kindle users I've talked to use 3rd party apps to sync collections. Doesn't make sense, it's a feature that exists on all iterations of the platform, but the macOS collections don't sync with anything else. Really not a well-done app.
  • I can’t even get it to open on my MacBook

I used to read on my laptop all the time. No longer. The app won’t open. And now I tried to download new Kindle software and that won’t open. Is that it, Amazon? No more support for Macs. It changes the equation for me. Please advise.
  • Terrible

The fact that I cannot zoom in on or enlarge text in a book that I purchased through amazon is as unacceptable as the idea that would even need to use that feature to read in the first place.
  • Well worth the bad reviews

I downloaded this thinking "it can't be as bad as all these reviews are saying." I was wrong. Wasted 134mb of data downloading this. I have 1 epub I would like to read sitting on my desktop. There is apparently no way to do this simple task.
  • Terrible quality

It keeps crashing. Plug new display - crash. Try to resize the width of the page - crash. Trying to make a note - crash. It happens with different frequency for those, and different actions. Worst thing is - it LOSES THE PROGRESS. So if it crashed in a background and I start kindle again, it doesn't start where I left of, and I need to manually find the place. It's been crashing on me for 5 years now, and 5 different apple machines (4 macbooks, 1 imac). very hard to believe that one of the richest companies in the world can't get this rather simple app right! We can only hope they won't try to build self-driving cars! But the fact that they experiment with drones (for deliveries) should already be a source of a worry!
  • Horrid piece of S**T

Look, first of all, don't make an app that does not sync with the other devices like this one. Second, on upgrade of OS, DO NOT make sure your crappy program can no longer launch. Amazon has always been bad at software. This is more proof that there are a large numbers of VPs who should be fired.
