  • Just cancelled subscription - new app is horrible

By no, it is you, not me
I’ve been amazed by nat geo app in the past. Now it bears no resemblance to a magazine, just a bunch of links. Bye bye and good luck. Let me know if you wise up and create an app that feels like reading the magazine rather then click bait.
  • Horrible Horrible Horrible

    By Sanjay_Makadia
I have been reading Nat Geo for many years now and has never felt so lost in their app. I don’t want personalization, just want to read the monthly magazine in digital format in offline mode. Only gripe I had for many years was that app never remembered where I left off, but that was a minor inconvenience. This new update is a mess.
  • Horrible update

    By alexgeo98
I understand that the magazine needs to keep up with the new ways to generate content but this update is awful. It now looks like random articles from an unprofessional blog. The whole experience has been ruined.
  • I want my digital downloads back!!!

    By Techdoc99
Why did you take away the ability to download you wonderful magazine for us to read offline, like on long flights or at the beach??? Please give it back!
  • The app update made me to cancel my subscription

    By korza
After 20+ years of NG subscriber I’m forced to cancel my subscription. The ND app used to allow full reading experience of the magazine, you could download the entire issue and read it on the plane, you got better pictures, videos, live updates.... This all has changed now with the app update. The new version is just a web browser for NG articles and not the entire issue. I was waiting several months with the hope it will change back. WHY THE UPDATE? The old version was PERFECT
  • Where did all my past issues go?

    By evRyan
This used to be such an awesome app until they updated it, taking away digital access to all the previous issues. What happened!? Used to be perfect, now I find myself reading less and less of Nat Geo because it’s so much harder to haul around a print copy. Please bring back digital access to issues on the iPad, please please!
  • The End for Ipad readers?

    By 情牛感
At first i was confused and thought i didn’t get it clear how to access purchased issues. After many tries i went to check the reviews then i realized i was not alone. Please bring back the digital reading experience, then i will give a 5 star back.
  • Nope

    By c2l14
Why does NatGeo waste their time updating version 3.0? They aren’t listening to their readers - we want DOWNDLOADABLE issues and OFFLINE READING. In other words, version 2.7. To the accountants at NatGeo: you are losing digital subscribers.
  • Threw away a great design

    By Kid Shay
I have never been so moved to write a scathing review, and I am severely disappointed it had to be for the National Geographic app. What was possibly my favorite app for the iPad, National Geographic truly enhanced the reading experience by adding video, animation, and interaction. With this update, we only get a fraction of the physical magazine. Further, I cannot save my place for picking up where I left off. I cancelled my subscription but I do hope I can resubscribe when NatGeo reinstates their precious design.
  • No Download Functionalty

    By deserteagle101
Now that I can no longer download a copy of the magazine, this app and subscription is useless. I have cancelled my subscription until they bring the ability to download back.
