  • Apple Watch App Is Bad

    By Chones
The functionality of both the iPhone & Apple Watch app work well. There is sometimes a lag between syncing if you don’t take your phone with you on a run & have to manually sync. But other than that everything works ok. The low rating is specifically for the Strava Apple Watch app. It needs to be updated to take advantage of all the things that the watch is capable of which isn’t a lot but Watch OS5 does have some evolutionarily advancements that Strava ought to take advantage of. As it stands, the Strava watch app is very basic. For example, there should be an option for interval training or perhaps It wouldn’t be too difficult to add that functionality to the outdoor run section. Or how about the ability to gauge cadence with Watch OS5? These are very basic quality of life improvements that Strava engineers could easily patch into a future fix...but it’s been years with this outdated, behind the curve basic watch app which is a shame because most runners I know use Strava to track their workouts exclusively.
  • Good app, a few bugs

I use strava almost daily for my commutes, and enjoy it a good bit. i’ve had recurring problems with strava not recognizing my heart rate from my Apple watch. i’ve already done everything to make sure there should be no communication errors. strava thinks i don’t have a heart rate monitor at all, which is obviously not the case, but, i haven’t been able to find a solution. Apart from that, i love the app. would definitely give a five star rating if that wasn’t an issue.
  • Many needed improvements.

The only thing I like this app for is friends giving me kudos on my events. I can’t use this accurately through my Apple Watch at all. The workouts don’t sync to Apple. The format is user friendly. Please fix the other stuff. I ran a 5k the other day and the app kept pausing even though I was going. It only tracked half a mile (I was at mile 2) so I just trashed the run. So angry about that.
  • Robot voice

    Please fix the robot voice.
  • Overall a good app

But lots of opportunity for improvements too. Would be great if we could filter for certain workouts by date range, distance range, workout type, who we worked out with, equipment, etc. for both our workouts and friends workouts.
  • Terrible Apple Watch app

I keep expecting to get an amazing Apple Watch app and still it seems like it’s never going to happen.
  • Why no swimming on Apple Watch?

Great app, awesome service. You get 5 stars when Apple Watch swimming is added.
  • Please add two tiny features

    By 747pilot*
Please add an audible beep or voice cue selectable so I can know when Strava locks up and stops recording. Which it now does. A LOT. I’ve lost over 39 miles in the last 3 weeks. Also please add a "night screen" with dark colors that doesn't kill your night vision. But hey, thanks for adding the ability to add shoes. It would be nicer it just worked and was stable.
  • Cadence
