  • Doesn’t teach Spanish

    By Tesman2
If you know Spanish already this could a good app, but if you are trying to learn it DON’T waste your money. If you do not have a good knowledge of Spanish this app is no good.
  • ¡Perfecto!

    By Celtys
I love this app! It makes it an easy way to review and a great platform to learn more. I definitely recommend it!!
  • The pronunciation is uncler

    By My spin
I am not able to understand the pronunciation of the words, also, there are sentences that I do not understand and i am not a able to retain. The courses are more toward spelling and grammar and not how to speak.
  • Beware

Good luck trying to cancel this app when you’re done- they keep charging each period ( 90 days)- I’ve sent notes trying to stop the service- neither Apple nor babbel can confirm- and now its charged for another round. Thankfully amex will help me cancel/ fight these guys who make it impossibly tough to get out. Good luck if you join-
  • Finally, a path to proficiency!

    By DesertKate
Thanks to this app, I think I will finally be able to reach a level where I feel some confidence in speaking with real people. I can reach the intensity of exposure required to absorb and retain the language. I hope they expand the offering to include readings and other tools. A first rate interface !
  • Should have an option for Latin America

I'm brushing up for some upcoming trips to Mexico and Panama. I have not heard anyone say Adios or de nada yet. I never learned the Vosotros (2nd person plural) in high school or college, so the Castilian-only language is confusing and annoying. I wish you could select which version of Spanish to learn. I'm questioning some of the pronunciation too. I'm hearing a-ja for ella. Other than those quibbles, I like the way it is structured. I think it would be tough to learn Spanish for the first time using this program, but it's pretty good for a refresh.
  • Grammar

I didn’t purchase the course to conjugate verbs. If you just want to learn to speak Spanish, this isn’t the course for you.
  • Conversations

    By Barrabeth
I wish Babbel had more interactive conversations. The lessons are very repetitive.
  • A la carte language.

I get paying a subscription for game play and then having to purchase further add-ons for the game. Doesn't make a lot of sense in learning a language. If I can't progress in learning what's the point of the subscription? Sure I can pay the subscription and keep practicing the same words over and over and over. But if I'd like to actually learn the language I need to pay on top of my subscription. It's on me for not understanding the app but now that I understand, the whole thing seems scammy.
  • Only Castilian Spanish

    By tom delgiorno
I am learning Spanish for Mexico and having lots of examples using the vosotros (second tense plural) is very confusing. Plus it is in lots of examples. So if you are going to Spain, no problem. IF going to Latin America I would not spend the money. You will be confused
