Cannot seem to get the app to open on Apple Watch - select the icon and app does not open, just returns to watch face. Tried deleting and reinstalling the app but to no avail. Guess I have to wait for another update - unless I’m doing something wrong 5 stars for the iPhone app usage.

The night sky app has truly outperformed my expectations for a phone app. I particularly want to mention that the astrophotography portion of this app is great for capturing awesome photos ; not only of the sky but in low light conditions with minimal difficulty managing the settings. My one criticism is when trying to get screen shots of celestial activities if aiming towards the sun the app creates a artificial glare effect if they can not eliminate please have a method to switch the glare effect off. There are numerous occasions where this effect of solar glare ruined my screen shot and made it more difficult to explain the information it the image to others. Thank you I am hoping for a work around or fix for that issue. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ELIMINATE THE SUN GLARE EFFECT PLEASE

I've been interested in astrology for a long time. Recently, I started a star journal. I stumbled across dozens of constellations I didn't even know existed. I knew searching the web for each constellation wasn't very ideal, but I also knew there were very few apps for virtual stargazing, so I put it off. A few nights ago, I spotted Perseus, unaware of what it was at the time. I downloaded several apps, but none of them correctly captured my location, so, when I found Night Sky, my expectations were extremely low. Grumbling, I downloaded it. I was absolutely astounded. The graphics were perfect, it gave me my correct location, and I learned about a dozen more constellations. Not only that, Night Sky gives you a weather forecast so you'll always know when a good stargazing night turns up. That’s just a little bit of the stuff it gives you. It is, by far, my most favorite app and it is the best of its kind. Now I spend hours at my desk, taking notes, sketching, reading, and researching like a good little astrological novice.

I have been outside for an hour. It identified stars/planets that I had not even seen.
  • Annoying compass!

    By meloogah
Everyone I move my phone a certain way (usually facing down) a compass shows up and it’s a pain in the butt to get out of it. It didn’t happen at first, but now it happens all the time! How can I make this feature go away? It really takes away from the positive experience.
