Description

Intercom lets you broadcast your voice to any AirPlay or Bluetooth audio destination on your network or paired to your device. Just selecting your speakers from the list of available audio routes. Then hold down the Talk button and speak your message. When you let go of the talk button, your message is broadcasted to the selected speaker.

Intercom is a handy way to communicate around the house and provides the same utility as a one way intercom. Send a quick message from your front yard to the living room stereo. Call for help from the garage. Tell the kids to stop making so much noise from your bed.
 Features you’ll love about Intercom:
-Simple and intuitive controls -Voice Effects -Optional announcement tone -AirPlay and Bluetooth support -URL scheme support for integration with home automation systems Intercom is a great way to outfit your home automation system with an intercom. Use the URL scheme to launch Intercom and return to your control app. Launch URL: intercom:// Return URL: intercom://launchApp?backButtonTitle=yourappname&returnURL=yourappscheme://
Intercom does not broadcast live. It first records your message and then replays it wirelessly through your speakers when you release the Talk button.

When paired with an Apple TV I am able to scold my kids if I'm in the bathroom or the other end of the house. My kids get so surprised to hear my voice coming out of the TV that they listen and quick. I love how simple this app is! Quick and straight forward when I need to get a message across. I don't care if it has to record me first. It makes it more entertaining to get to listen to my own voice and hear the reaction of my kids. I LOVE this app and recommend it to all mothers with an Apple TV!!

This app is great. Sadly not live, but that also means not dealing with feedback. The author just needs to make it clear that it isn't live. There's just a 1-2 second delay after you finish talking before the audio plays through your AirPlay device. I have 5 wireless speakers around my apartment, so this is a godsend when I wanna be lazy.
  • Total waste.

Works entirely inconsistently. Out of 50 tries it was able to keep the airplay connection 4 times. It resets to phone speaker 90%+ of the time so it is extremely frustrating. Dev fix or remove. $5 wasted.

This app is straight trash. It does not work as a microphone it's simply records what you say and plays back with a delay and static. Like a fool I spent five dollars on this for my daughter's birthday and was highly disappointed #NeverAgain

It's great if it didn't have that delay. Better if you can do live mic with no delays
  • Not LIVE

When it's said "broadcast" it doesn't mean live at all, it does the exact same thing as if you record your voice with IPhone Voice Recorder and play it trough a speaker. I honestly thought it was going to be live, I should have read the whole thing, my bad. When it comes to the app, it seems real nice and smooth, but if I wanted to record my voice and transmit it into a Bluetooth speaker, I would use the standard Iphone Voice recorder, it's free.
