Love RSS feeds? So do we!! RSS feeds are a great way to follow updates on your favorite website. However, some sites set up their feeds to only show a portion of each entry, you know, to get you to click through to their actual website. We find that really annoying, and we're sure you do too. Which is why, unlike other RSS feed readers, that either push you into a browser (in-app or otherwise), or depend on third party text parsing services and require you to be online to fetch the full text of one article at a time (which makes it no different from having to click/tap through to a website), in lire, you get your favorite RSS feeds as they should've been. You don't need to click through to any website (though, you do still have the option to, if you really wanted). It takes your favorite partial feeds, does it's magic, and converts them in to full feeds, so you don't have to click/tap on those annoying 'Read more' or 'Continue reading' links. Once they're cached, you don't even need to be connected to read your full-text feeds. Use as a standalone feed reader, or, sync with any of the several services: Feedly, Feedbin, FeedHQ, The Old Reader, Inoreader, BazQux Reader, Newsblur, Feed Wrangler.

  • So nothing new about this update

    By ʕᴥ• ʔ
Seriously? System theme? There is nothing much different about this theme! It is the same as Day theme, just the color of the buttons. Come on dev, what are you doing? At least you can do is give an overhaul look. I’ve been waiting for the next update to be the UI; card view, tags on articles, or anything that would look as pretty as Apple News lol. I’m even thinking about switching to Elytra right now despite the subscription.
  • Best RSS App Out There

    By Gank!
I can appreciate finally adding swipe to the left having the option to mark as read. But why not just include ALL options for swipe to the right, as swipe to the left, too, like mark all above as read. Just like swiping to the left. Then I can keep it consistent with the mail app. Still doesn’t change the fact that this is THEE best RSS reader app out there.
  • Terrible Inoreader syncing

    By LeoVogel
Clears all of my unread items every day. I have to resync to get unread items to show. I’m going back to Reeder. Save you money and don’t buy this until they fix their sync engine.
  • Crashes constantly on iPad Pro

    By zipprd
On the IPad Pro it crashes constantly, almost every time feeds are refreshed.
  • Worst App I’ve purchased

    By JamesBaird
This app is not intuitive. I found it difficult to use and organize feeds. Certainly not worth the price when there are better free apps that support RSS feeds and have a better design.
  • Unusable

Crashes every time I try to load it.
  • Massively slow. Full text retrieval fails.

    By Loolev
Whatever lire does to obtain, extract, and format full text is wildly broken after the last update. So slow the app is unusable. Opening articles in Safari is much, much faster. Update: Latest release claims new full text retrieval engine. Complete failure. I have turned off all caching. Every attempt to retrieve full text for a single article times out. Update: Lire has its own full text extraction service. It often fails. All you can do is completely turn off full text. You can tell the service is dead by going to If this fails then full text is dead. You are better off completely turning off full text. If you want to read full text, click on an article title and it will load from the blog’s website. Goodby full text caching, lire’s only value proposition. Give up on superficial design flare and use a product with tc technically sound architecture: Feeddler Pro.
  • Good app, can’t change font size

    By inverseroom
This is a good app, and its full-text fetching feature is wonderful. But I’m astounded that you can’t change the font size. This may be the only reading app of any kind that I’ve ever used that has deliberately removed this essential, basic feature. The FAQ states that it can’t support both system-wide font scaling and in-app at the same time—but this seems like madness to me. Reading an email or a text message within a busy interface is not an analagous experience to reading a long article. And removing this feature guarantees that a percentage of customers will be permanently dissatisfied. Literally the first line of the app description should be CANNOT CHANGE FONT SIZE.
  • Full text broken

    Doesn’t work in latest update.
  • Three crashes to open, then it’s pretty good

    By 554228
Crashes three time on launch every time I go to use it but typically after that 4th launch, things are generally good.
