  • Fit brain

I have found an increase in my ability to complete the games with less mistakes and find my brain function has increased in retention and's worth every minute of time taken to do the session...the only issue is when each time I do the exercise I only seem to be able to reach a 0 score.... It is only when I repeat the process that I will get a score... Kind of depressing.... Is there a reason for this or am I that slow?
  • Fun

Fun and seems worthwhile to keep on your toes, but expensive and some games don't seem to work correctly like quick cards. It limits you ability to be quick, used to work much faster.
  • Good & Bad

It has many challenging games. Many are even fun. However, there are a lot of problems. There are often discrepancies in tracking the workouts. And the “streaks” number is rarely correct. It is really hard to understand how points are awarded. Often, I score really well on the games, yet lose points for the day. The word fragment game malfunctions. And sometimes, the responsiveness of the touch screen is frustrating, especially in the “same or different” game. I still am committed to doing it each day, as part of my brain building regimen; but try to not let the scoring or tracking upset me.
  • Just what our brains needed

Signed up and then upgraded to the premium edition. Like that it doesn't take long each day. Also, after selecting a performance report, we can get into the grayed out area at the bottom called games and pick exactly which one we'd like to work on. Tough to know that I'm below average in some areas. Like the radar chart as a visual way to present overall brain health. Good to use that radar chart as a way to self examine balance in other areas of life. Good investment in our continued health. I do dislike that it keeps asking me to "rate" it when I already have. Otherwise still think it's awesome!. No so great, it stopped, wanted a monthly fee for premium, my one time payment wasn't good enough. When I paid it, game still wouldn't start. Fortunately, I found settings and sent support a message. They fixed it that night.
  • Fun until they want money

I downloaded this because I was getting bored with Luminosity games. I enjoyed the variety until it says your training is complete. Every time I open it, ‘Your Free Training Is Complete’ is the first thing I see. They only allow 7 free games with one being ‘Worldly Words.’ I know very few words in Spanish and yet they give me a free game based on if I can translate the word shown in front of me. At least Luminosity gave 3 free games a day to do and so does Elevate. I am not wasting my money on a company that tries to get people to pay to learn or help with their cognitive function. Not everyone can afford to pay for things like this.
  • Instructions

Instructions can sometimes be unclear until you try the game and become familiar, but I'm grateful for this workout because it shows me where I stand in my age group and how much skill I have lost in the aging process.
  • Challenging

I enjoy testing myself everyday as I continue to improve in small increments. This is such a fun way to stay sharp. 😎
  • Great app but buyer beware difficult to cancel!

    By jenndemo
I’m a tech savvy person and bought this to work with my grandparent on cognitive exercises and even with a cancelled subscription it cont to renew itself and charge me weekly.
  • App needs lots of improvement!

    By MDphototraveler
Fit Brains has the potential to be a nice, stimulating app but falls far short of good usefulness. First, they consistently have problems with maintaining your subscription status. After upgrading to premium I had to communicate with Rosetta Stone (owner) multiple times to get their system to recognize the additional charge being added through the App Store. Second, they give no sample tries on their brain exercises as most apps do. This results in wasted time being certain you get the idea correctly in mind. This seems like a simple fix but one they apparently aren’t interested in developing.

I have a subscription to Fit Brains. Some of the games work but some do not. What should I do. I don’t feel I’m getting my money’s worth.
