  • Best Dating App I’ve Tried

    By dsa0809
About a month ago, I made the decision to get off dating apps completely. I got so tired of only getting matched with creepers looking for one night stands, but Hinge has been a pleasant surprise. I tried out Hinge a year or so ago, and I couldn’t get the hang of it, so I quit. Once I sat down and really got to understand how to work the app, it was easy! It’s definitely not the rapid fire matching that you have on Tinder or Bumble, but if you’re patient and really develop conversations with your matches, you can really meet some great people! Something I love is the fact that there’s more information on the profile, so you have more to go off of than just how the person looks. Faith is also something that’s really important for me, so I look being able to match with other people who think it’s important too! I haven’t been using Hinge for that long, but after all the recommendations, I’m so happy that I gave it another try. There’s definitely some user experience updates that can be made, but all in all, I’m really happy with Hinge. Would highly recommend this over any other dating app if you’re looking to seriously date!
  • Repeats

Good app and concepts, but I get repeats of people I have already seen.
  • Was the best, now like the rest.

I don’t really care that the test markets show a 20% increase in dates, this new update makes finding the people who liked you a more clunky experience (mixed in with the rest in discover? Really?) I guess that’s the point of monetizing things further... Want a smooth experience like before? You’re going to have to pay.
  • On the fence...

This app is OK. I’m rating it 3 stars because you used to be able to see who liked you for free, but now they’re forcing you to pay a subscription to see who liked you 🙄 I will likely delete Hinge, my matches haven’t been the greatest quality and I’m not paying money for people to not respond to messages.
  • What happened?

    By sad12345678!
I don’t understand the greed. This app was perfect until today when I logged on and saw that I would need to pay to see who liked me. Stooping to Tinder’s level. Looking forward to the next great dating app. Very sad
  • The new update is terrible!

It feels like they’re trying to make hinge more like tinder. I don’t want to aimlessly swipe through people just to find out who likes you.
  • Fantastic!

Gave me severe depression by putting myself back out there again! Thanks, Hinge! 9/10
  • Congrats, you just killed your only value proposition

Despite having auto-updates turned off, I checked hinge today to see that you now have to pay to see a list of people who have liked you. This is baffling to me, as this feature was the only positive differentiator between hinge and other apps. Hinge is often glitchy, shows you the same people, has a less attractive user base, and is much more time consuming when attempting to find your needle in the dating app haystack - now they’ve taken away the only thing that kept me around. No thanks, going back to bumble. You can keep your bad UI and excessive push notifications.
  • New update is garbage

    By HornedFrog327
The new update only lets you look for people once you respond to likes. Awfully annoying when you travel often and don’t want to waste potential match trying to drag on conversation until you’re back in town.
  • Ruined

    By iHateRipOffApps
The latest update, that removed the section that showed you who liked you, ruined this app.
