    I wish I’d read them before I signed on, but my doctor recommended the app and had personal results so I hoped for the same. My personal coach was highly impersonal and I didn’t feel supported at all. I never got a straight answer to a question and I never got out in a group. Then, when I said I thought I MIGHT cancel, the “coach” said no problem, off you go and I got a cancellation notice in my email. What a letdown. I wouldn’t recommended this to anyone who can actually make good choices and wants some help to stick with them. You won’t get that here.

    I love the program and information regarding making good food choices and the psychology of what we eat. I do not like that the steps are not accuratly documented.. numerous emails to support are no help. They have no solution currently. I use my Apple watch to monitor my steps. The only choice is the Health app info which conflicts with the Activity app. It does not sync to the Activity app. That frustrates me. I tried my Garmin tracker. That's hit and miss. Today I have 5,893 steps. On Noom ..... Nada....ZERO. I've waited all day. It's not syncing.

    Nooms staff was very helpful in answering questions through their contact email. My experience with this app was overall positive, and their attention to my goals or concerns felt very personal. It is clear that you are dealing with a human coach, and human customer service.
  • Good for weight loss

    If you want to get to the “why” of poor eating habits and see weight loss as a lifestyle change, this is a good app. Be ready to read and think! Lots of articles to read. This is a good thing!
  • Program is great but app could be better

    I love the Noom program so far, but am disappointed with a few aspects of the app. The first is the food logging function. The database of food items is much smaller than other apps and it’s difficult to add recipes. Unlike MyFitness Pal, you cannot import recipes from the web. But when entering raw ingredients into Noom, the database often doesn’t have calorie counts for raw ingredients. So I end up using MyFitness Pal to determine nutrition information for my recipes. The second disappointment is that my Fitbit steps don’t sync with the app very quickly.

    The actual program is very good. There is information that despite 60 years of reading up on diets I have learned. The 3 stars are for the app itself. It freezes and is a bit sluggish. As for the program itself I really do like the daily lessons, the coach, and the group. I would give it a four to five.
  • Negative Reviews are SO WRONG!

    I read through some of the reviews before deciding whether I had anything to add, and totally disagree with the negatives.... If you need to lose weight, this is the system for you. It is not a weight loss program but more of a weight change program. They teach you how to look at not only how much you’re eating but what that food is and why you are eating it. Maybe I was just ready, but quickly lost 10 pounds. It got harder after that, but the work is worth it. At the end of my 16 weeks I had lost 23 lbs and am still losing. It’s more on my own now, but they ween you off the program in such a way that you know you can do it yourself. Isn’t that what we want? Something we can do ourselves? Nice job, Noom and a shout out to my coach, Christian. He was awesome! Thank you so much!
