    Terrible... bring back classic Chromecast
  • My God. This must be the Google Apple War

    By cdub..
This app is the largest piece of crap on iOS so far. I can literally be 3 feet from my router, my google home and one of the chrome cast devices and this app will not recognize what is playing unless i restart it three times. So I’m not switching iOS devices maybe I need the new assistant from Apple.
  • Question for Google...

    By Photo chickadee
Is the info in the Dec 31 review by kahnpro still an issue? What's being done to protect the privacy of all people using the app and speakers etc. How much eavesdropping is actually done when I believe my speaker to be dormant. Is it always listening and for much more than just the "Hey Google" we've been made to think was the only item it's listening for. I'd like to know the answers to these things. Once I do, I'll update my rating because I do enjoy the ease of the services it provides but am more concerned about invasion of my family's privacy than my enjoyment of your products. Please respond.
  • Casting pics from my google photos

    By PropertyofGod7
Well i love that i can now cast my own photos to my chrome cast from my google photos. Makes a great way to relive the memories from various vacations (and makes taking all those pictures a little more justifiable cuz now we get to actually enjoy them! Request fro google though. I now use my google photos albums and cast them to chrome cast and i love it. Icing on the cake would be if they made slide show options. Especially if there was a slight bit of pan and zoom as it shows each photo. Love that stuff and makes the pictures come alive more! Sincerely, Friendly neighborhood photo slide show nerd:)
  • Can’t do much other than tell me the weather

I got a google home primarily to have a voice controlled speaker for Spotify. I connected my account with the app as detailed online. Yet, all I ever get from google is ‘I’m sorry. I need more information. Enter the app.” Or “Sorry. Something went wrong.” The very least I would expect is some error code for why it’s not working, but it won’t even give me that courtesy. Also, I’ve been trying to set up voice match and it consistently fails, hanging on the loading screen after the voice recordings until timeout. 10/10 would never buy again.

  • Chrome cast is magnificent

    By mAESTRO_222
Absolutely love having a chrome cast! After a week or two of owning and using one I’ve bought two more for the other tv’s in my house. I would recommend this to anyone who typically watches things on a mobile device or doesn’t have a television provider.
