  • Definitely the best podcast app but hard to find new podcasts

Smart Speed is a game changer and feature haven’t found elsewhere. App is beautiful and very user friendly. Can easily see what podcasts are about. Being able to upload my own files is a plus too. This is more of a request then a gripe against the app because all Podcast apps have this problem: they can’t match Apple Podcasts way of having comprehensive charts of different podcast genres. If there’s a way to implement that, there’s absolutely no reason to keep Apple Podcasts on your phone. Right now there’s some general categories but they only list a few podcasts, not everything available and the categories are too wide. What if I want to search for horror? Or Audiodrama? Etc. The search will search titles not what the podcast is actually categorized as. Only other request is a way to integrate YouTube channels. Right now there’s Podsync but it’s probably a dream to think I can search a YouTube channel and get a podsync link that’s automatically entered as a URL into Overcast.

This past update seems to have removed the add all episodes option from podcasts. Please bring it back.

Can’t get my Podcasts to sync to the watch. Podcasts are shown as synced to the watch in the download queue however they never make it there.

I loved Overcast as soon as I switched from the built in podcasts app on my phone, and the few little things I wished worked better on the Watch are now there, with more than I dreamed of! More than just a remote control, this is GREAT!
  • Best pod catcher out there

Great work overall. Really want to double tap podcast playing screen's podcast art to Recommend (great feature), like Instagram. Before Overcast 3 update, I used that to auto scroll down to press recommend button in info. Now that habit needs to change. And I feel like Instagram double-tap to Rec could be a great solution. Makes sense for millennial users who know Instagram too.
  • Great, but...

What happened to playback speeds less than 1x? Great feature when trying to doze off, the slower the better.

I love the priority feature. I put all of my podcasts in the order. Things that I always want before lessor podcasts. I just say “Hey, Siri. Play priority,” and it continues the current podcast then plays in order favorites. It’s amazingly easy.

Been looking forward to WatchOS 5 (or at least the idea of the implementation of audio that eventually became the WatchOS 5 feature) since I read the Marco.org description of why the world’s premier smart device couldn’t play a podcast. Thank you so much for this update. Looking forward to the time I can designate playlists as the “send to watch” list so I don’t end up with all my “in case stranded on desert island” backlog on my watch rather than the latest Waking Up.
