Love the app! It enables journeys to find recipes based on what I have available in my fridge, or just explore and try new things I have never tried before.

I am guaranteed to find an incredible reputable recipe in The NY Times Cooking App. The notes they have for each recipe of others that have made the dish is so helpful. I also love that you can save and organize recipes .
  • Great, but recent addition of ads causes problems

The app is great, with a few quirks that are easy to get used to. But, I like to use this app on my phone or iPad while listening to audio from other apps. The recent addition of video ads embedded in the recipes makes it so my audio from other apps stops working. Super annoying. Please fix!

It is so annoying when I am reading the newspaper online and I see the recipes in the paper. I have to sign into the recipes app again and again.. why can’t the connection be seamless?

Used to be when you bought the NY Time you got the whole paper including crossword puzzles, real estate and and cooking section. Now every section is separate app and they’re starting to charge extra for every section that has traditionally made The NY Times such a great resource for All The News Fit To Print. I’ve subscribed to The NY Times app almost since they went digital and I love it. But I am sorely disappointed at being asked to pay an additional $5.00 per month for the ability to look at a recipe once in a while, or to attempt a crossword puzzle that I can rarely complete (sorry, in spite of being a loyal reader of the Times I am not that smart). What’s next? Am Obit app for $5.00/month? Love The NY Times, but disappointed in their nickel-&-dime-ing me to death.

A while back there were many new recipes and no ads. Recently that is reversed. Why do I get advertisements when I pay for a NYT subscription? No good.
  • Can I have this recipe?

I hear it all the time from dinner guests when I make a dish I got from from The New York Times Cooking. Thanks to this great app I’ve expanded my menus and grown as a cook. Thank you all!
