  • Too bloated for iPhone 5

Has potential but crashed several times while just playing with the settings, let alone trying to navigate anywhere!
  • Best offline app

I have to tell this is the best offline app I’ve ever used.
  • Really buggy

App can’t remember some of the settings. Randomly choosers to display North Up, Compass Up, or Direction of Travel Up. Sometimes half the screen refuses to display. Sometimes current location is marked by an arrow; other times inexplicably by a fan-shaped thing.

Thank you for enabling point to point navigation. I almost switched to Android, because of this. OSM is one of my most important apps. Thank you.

    No routing
  • not ready for iOS

its a great 'emergency' map for iOS, when you haven't pre-planned and downloaded your route, but its not full featured yet. the main problem is that it wont track while phone is locked. the available features are confusing but i'm sure id get over that with practice. if i switch to Android, i'll use it full time; until then I'll stick with Ride With GPS and just keep OsmAnd for when i'm lost and without a map (and without network, which in New Mexico is often).
  • Baffled by the 1-star reviews

I've been using this app for years and it's always been a fantastic offline app for OpenStreetMap. The app is rock-solid and works terrifically well for me now, as it always has. This is my go-to app when I fly so I can see where I currently am and what it is I'm looking at out the window, which has made flying SO much more enjoyable for me! I used it this weekend on a flight from Albany to Chicago and it showed me all the streets, countour lines, points of interest and anything else I could possibly want to know about that I was flying over. It even helped me locate Toronto out in the distance! Based on the reviews, I don't think the 1-star reviewers really understood what they were purchasing, mainly the fact that it's meant to work with OpenStreetMap, which contains levels of detail and points of interest not available through traditional mapping services. I've always been amazed what kinds of paths, trails, and buildings are identified and labeled in OpenStreetMap, and it's helped me to discover things I would have never found otherwise. If you love exploring the world through maps, especially with the ability to do so offline, definitely give this app a try! Take some time to get to learn how to use it, instead of trying for 2 minutes and then abandoning it. The amount of enjoyment it's brought to me has been well worth a few extra minutes getting acquainted with the features.
  • Unusable

Am I missing something? This map is not even a map at its most basic. If you zoom in it just gets more pixelated. Search features and menu are really confusing and bad. As far as I can tell you can't interact with the map at all.
