Until Pianoteq comes out this is awesome, just wish I could adjust the pedal noises, they are a little loud but add to the realism so I'm good with it!! Go iPad! Six months later, pedal noise is still loud, I’m really hoping pianoteq makes an iPad version.

I am a full time concert pianist. I have spent years behind the piano and was extremely skeptical when I saw this app. But I can honestly say this was the best money I have ever spent on an app. I use an iPhoneX and a Yamaha Bluetooth dongle and couldn’t be happier with the sound and performance of the Ravenscroft 275 app. I have been using it on stage and in the studio for about 6 months now and it has never let me down. It is so expressive and realistic that I prefer it over the Yamaha montage and nord piano 3. DOWNLOAD THIS APP! You won’t be disappointed.

Crashes often after iOS 11.3 update when being used as audio unit in GarageBand. Real nice instrument by the way.
  • Don’t waste you’re time with this app

I wrote a nice 3 star review on this app a couple months ago and I stated that the major downside to this app is the extremely loud damper pedal sound that it makes when it is pressed down. It is very loud and really sounds bad when you’re playing softly in a concert room. I am now changing my review to a 1 Star review because this issue is still not being addressed even though other reviewers are also saying the same thing about the loud damper pedal sound. I basically wasted $35 on a app that I don’t use. I simply use the Korg Module Piano sounds even though I would rather use this app. My sound engineer hates this app because the damper pedal is so loud and there is nothing he can do about it. I know longer use this app when I gig just so my audience doesn’t get annoyed with the loud damper sound. Fix this massive problem and I’ll gladly change my review to a 5 Star review which is what this app really deserves once this issue is fixed.
  • Nice

Very nice. The only problem is it makes static noises after I hit too many notes. I give 5 stars regardless. Excellent job on the realistic feel and sound guys.after you fix the crash and static pop noise...6 stars. Very nice. You guy did a wonderful job. Just as someone stated in another rating... I as well can't stop playing it. It makes me just adore praising God and his awesome son with it
  • Very good sound..! Needs minor tweaks

    By Phiterphil
I love the sound of the Ravenscroft 275. I use this piano in live settings from my iPhone 8. Weddings, churches, worship houses and gigs. Don’t know why anyone could give this piano a bad review. It has an acoustic piano vibe that is very realistic. Plus it works well when layered with other sounds like strings and pads. The app is super easy to use. However I would love the option to turn off the Sustain Pedal or volume control it. It can be loud at times especially when trying to play softly. Starts to be come distracting when playing.
  • Best piano on AppStore

    By Ion677
I’ve tried every other iOS piano. This one’s the best. It’s not perfect though. There’s no midi control of eq or tambre. There’s no way to get rid of sustain pedal sounds. Would love to see more features. Maybe even a prepared piano from uvi.
  • Best so far

...but not perfect. Disagree with “super disappointed 10.” This piano sample player seems to capture better an ambient piano sound rather than a studio-mic’d piano, if that makes any sense. Reminds of the old practice room at college—warm, reflective, expressive. This player nails the EQ timber settings in a way that others do not. Of course play style and diversity of experiences will form your opinion. Mine is that this player sounds most organic to my ears so far. However, still looking for the perfect piano on iOS.
  • great sound, minor problems

Even using this app on the big iPad pro that was the top of the line when it came out, there were occasional glitches at the beginning of some notes. To this beautiful sounding app has been decent for practicing piano but not so great for recording. It’s been quite a while now since I bought it, and this is still an issue.
  • Unusable

    By pianotogo
Let me start out by saying that I’m really impressed with the quality of the samples and how expressive the app is. It really does sound amazing. However I paid $40 to have great samples for mobile recording. Unfortunately the samples really are unusable because of how loud the dampening pedal is. It really is unrealistic and it is incredibly distracting especially when playing softly, especially since the dampening pedal always reacts with the same velocity no matter how soft or hard you press. For a company that prides themselves in realism, I was really shocked and disappointed by this. Easily a 5 star app if you could control the volume of the dampening pedal. As it is, 2 stars since the piano sounds nice...I understand you can’t include all the functions of the desktop program, but at least make the $40 app usable. Please fix this!
