  • If Tinder was a Job website

    By OcularEars
Imagine an app like Tinder but for professional freelancers. A job site where every resume entry is a d!ck pic. I guess there’s a chance you might find the love / gig of your life but you’re more likely to get herpes / pay a subscription. PS this is so overpriced it’s ridiculous. This companies business model is hoping you forget to cancel you’re free trial and get rolled into a month to month plan which you also forget about.
  • Definitely Worthwhile.

This has definitely been worthwhile for me. In 4 months, I’ve made dozens of great connections and I’ve gotten 3 paying jobs out of it You definitely need to put the time into it though and browse the app and reach out to people. You get what you put into it.

All the ads say FREE network for creatives. Apparently making a free account means they get to charge you. What a load of BS!! Now I’m waiting for a refund and about to call the bank to file a fraud claim. AVOID THIS SCAM. Any positive reviews were

I needed a carpenter + photographer for an art piece I’m working on and I found a photographer who happens to be a carpenter! Lol Thanks Mixer :)
  • Forgot I was even on this

I think I tried this out when it was beta, didn’t find it too useful and deleted it. Recently I got sent an email from mixer asking me to confirm that I had worked on a particular project. So I downloaded the app and tried to log in to confirm, however I can’t confirm that I worked on said project as I’m being asked for a monthly payment to join the system. So while I’d like to confirm my work, I don’t wish to use the platform. Maybe the developer ought to creat a way for people who are getting emailed to confirm things, to allow confirmation without forcing a payment for it. That’s my thought about the subscription model.
  • Another Bait and Switch subscription app😠

    By mhadkfiiuhkisiuhfhh
I spent over an hour setting up my profile find my work online, only to be locked out at a paygate just to start a "trial subscription" who wants to pay $10/month for crap like this? Very shady business if you ask me. And what does the app actually do for you? Nothing.
  • Bait and switch

    By fakehead
I would actually like the app if I didn’t feel like it was disingenuous. I learned about mixer by getting an email saying I was tagged in a project. So naturally, I downloaded the app and was asked to upload content while my application was in review. Then I had to wait and oh by the way, had to sign up for a trial subscription (free) just to see what I was tagged in. I passed the review process but no matter how I searched, I could not find the project I was tagged in. I let the subscription lapse and wouldn’t you know it? I get another email saying I was tagged in another project. I think they are trawling IMDb and then just sending people like me messages saying someone tagged me when in reality, it’s just a bot. Since support is NON-EXISTENT, it’s impossible to know. It’s actually a very well done app with loads of networking potential but I’m not paying $10 bucks a month for this kind of crap. It’s a shame too because I would pay for this if it didn’t feel so shady.
  • Paygates and forced subscription

Free trial plugs you into a subscription before you even use the app. Developers claim “you get the chance to decide whether you want it during the free trial” ...this isn’t an honest business model, you don’t make people enter a payment plan for a car before they even test drive it and then say “oh well you can cancel your subscription whenever” ...stop trying to pretend this is ok. After an hour of setting up a profile featuring decades of my expertise and hard work, I was put into a waiting queue for the approval of “mixer”. The next day only one of my projects was approved, the other 4 I created were not. Upon opening the app to check, I reached a subscription paygate. They claim it’s a free trial but it’s a forced subscription, free trial shouldn’t plug you into a repeating payment...horrible dishonest business model. I immediately closed the app, frustrated that I’d invested time into something they could have explained from square one without trying to create an investment incentive paygate at the end of the application. Dishonesty. Poor taste. Manipulation. So anyways, like other users have said...now the account is displaying my project to active users while I’ve yet to activate my account. Essentially giving the developers credibility for free. Their response is “you can email us to remove your account” This is multiple red flags for a dishonest business with the wrong priorities.
  • Can't unsubscribe

You can start a trial but there is absolutely NO option in your app how to cancel the godamn subscription. Anf I was trying to reset my password 5 times and there is still NO emails with reset link. Terrible
  • They started off bad...

    By Bobbrilliant
I put all my credits and info on this... whatever it is, because a friend asked me to. Signed up and then they tell me I have to wait to see if I get approved.... THEN, they tell you to join you have to pay. Well, I will continue to mix on Instagram. Maybe if you guys would chill on the membership until you grow more. Peace out!
