  • Works well at first

    By Pr WO
When I first got this app some time ago I was thrilled with it. Now they keep wanting me to upgrade for a price and don’t give me much information. Additionally, I can’t really attest to a reduction in spam calls. That could be due to spammers constantly using different numbers, however. Frankly, I don’t think there is a solution to the spam problem.
  • It’s not !

Using this app for several months now, it helps but it’s not primetime. No matter what settings I use, it still let’s calls come to my phone that say suspected spam. There has to be a better app out there somewhere?
  • Still getting calls..

    By Miuel_7000
I’m still getting calls by spams every day, I like the idea, I don’t need to know the name of the spams that call me I just need them to be blocked away so I don’t get their calls, still getting calls from different numbers every day that say I won something or just a robot asking questions.. Every Day! I had the hopes this app would stop or make things better, but it’s still the same.
  • No good

You will never get info from this app unless you pay their very high monthly rate. Ridiculous and useless app.
  • Spotty results

No logging of what it blocked can’t stop similar numbers. Neighborhood spam. Looking for other options. Android apps worked much better
  • Not working well

I loved this app when I first got it, but in the last month or so it has stopped warning me about spam calls. When I look up a recent spam call, it turns out to be one that Hiya already knows is a telemarketer ... but no warning. I have my prefs set to block all suspected scam, but lots of already identified scam calls are getting through without even the Hiya icon on the call list.
  • It’s Not a Blocker!

    By Christi1000
I thought it would block spam calls. It doesn’t. I’m getting just as many calls as before. I have to put the number in to block them. What good is that? The scammers just change the number. I’d give this app 0 stars, but the system won’t let me.
  • Honest

Absolutely NO frills NO extras ... Definitely good but very basic which is not at all necessarily a bad thing. You will “NOT” be getting any optional tones or tunes for the purpose of personalization for your VM recordings etc ...HIYA gives you exactly what it states .. so do not expect any “Ah-hah” options because there is nothing more.. HIYA definitely works and works well, however always be sure to keep HIYA updated and well informed of all data changes etc.or HIYA sorta fades away and becomes an onlooker instead of the star .. instead of doing the job that you’re assuming it is ...trust me ..check on it periodically or do the whole ID job for yourself.. is all I’m saying! Good luck 🙋🏼
  • Problems after updating to iOS 12

    By SAMacKin
I seemingly ran into a compatibility issue with Hiya and iOS 12 where it was blocking ALL my contacts that weren’t on my favorites list. Spent a frustrating afternoon trying everything short of restoring my iPhone until I reached my last straw and deleted Hiya. Then I was getting calls again instead of sending them directly to voicemail. I noticed the last update was last week so maybe Hiya will get updated to work with iOS 12. I liked the app before this issue and will keep tabs on it to see if it gets an update and, if so, I’ll download the app again and provide an updated rating.
